Membership
THCL Mission Statement and Membership Tiers:
The purpose of the association is to support people who live or want to live in a "tiny house" as an intentional and permanent way of life. We intend to support our members through:
- Community: Providing opportunities for exchange with like-minded people
- Incubation: Providing a platform for members to launch projects involving "tiny houses".
- Informing: Informing members on topics relating to tiny houses.
The association is made up of three types of members: full members, associate members, and supporting members.
- Full members are identified as the members of the Board of Directors, administrative staff authorized by the Board of Directors, and the incubation project coordinator(s). Only full members have voting rights. Only full members are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting. Full members are not exempt from paying membership fees.
- An associate member for the current calendar year is any individual who has paid the annual membership fee. This member has access to all supporting information and opportunities that the ASBL provides for its members.
- A supporting member for the current calendar year is any individual who has made a donation. This member receives, if desired, any email updates that are sent out to members and is invited to join community-wide events.
Membership at any level is granted for the calendar year from 1 January to 31 December and becomes effective only after receipt of the annual membership fee of 30 EUR to the following bank account.

After the payment has been received, you will receive an invitation to attend the next welcome meeting which gives you the opportunity to ask all the questions you might have.
Following this, you can participate in our regular Meetings (every 18th of the month at 7 pm) and join working groups.
Data Usage
The THCL Asbl will use your personal data for internal processing and store it for the duration of your membership. If you have not transferred your membership for the current year by 30 June, we will assume that you no longer wish to be a member of the association, delete your data from the membership list, and automatically remove you from the communication media and platforms. Only your name and surname will remain on the list in order to be able to guarantee better support in the event that you wish to become a member again. Furthermore, your name will remain in the internal financial accounting of the past years.
By signing this form, I grant the association the right to store, process, and publish photos, videos, and audio files taken during meetings and events of the association beyond the duration of my membership and for the purpose of disseminating information on the THCL's activities in the digital and printed media.
Intellectual Property Rights and Copyright Protection
The THCL has the automatic ownership and protection of all work contained within the various platforms of the ASBL. This includes but is not limited to the THCL-run Google Drive and Trello the 3 affiliated websites and the ASBL email account. As no formal registration is required to obtain protection by copyright and starts with the simple creation of the work, THCL automatically gains rights over their works allowing them to control their subsequent use by third parties. Any member wishing to use in part or in full, work (of a literary, scientific, or artistic nature, including computer programs and databases) protected under the copyright, must have written permission from the full board.
By signing this form I agree to respect the legal ownership of all materials on the various platforms of the THCL and abide by any legal procedures before sharing, distributing, or using the information outside of THCL board-sanctioned tasks, events, or projects.
